It’s always a good idea to do research before buying something. I planned to buy a food dehydrator so I researched and came across L’Equip, which was highly recommended. Its rectangular shape makes it perfect to stay on the countertop. It doesn’t look big and only occupying less space, which is advantageous. This dehydrator, that seems to be like the size of a small microwave, operates quietly. It’s nice and what I love about it is that I don’t have to bother myself buying a lot of extras – it has enough pieces of fruit trays and mesh sheets, unlike those of American Harvest brand. Though I considered buying their model, adding up all the extras I need to by makes it not a good deal as it gets more expensive then.

The motor and fan of L’Equip are located at the bottom but it is well covered so nothing that falls gets into it. I have tried drying several fruits like apples, pineapples, bananas and coconut, which took me around 6 to 10 hours. The results were really great and tasted good. I am used to baking and I am planning to use this to make ingredients, as well as making sulfite-free snacks. The 12-year warranty makes me feel secure. I would highly recommend this item because of that and not to mention for its quality and reasonable price.

Indeed a great catch! It’s so much a plus that it comes with a very easy to understand instruction book. Well constructed, trays are firm. Each tray has removable fine mesh, filtering those smaller items so it won’t fall beneath. It works really well and does not cook the food. The motor is actually quite and I love it that way. Its rectangular shape makes it fit nicely into my shelf and doesn’t take up so much space. I certainly would recommend this item.
