I have been using dehydrators for over 20 years already and with that period, I had used 6 models. This Nesco American Harvest FD-37 undoubtedly works well. However, if you are the type of person to use dehydrators a lot, then, I would recommend you spend more money on other Nesco models. Though this works well, its fan is pretty loud and the inner portion of the trays is starting to melt. I have purchased another model from Nesco, the square one and it was a right decision. It’s quieter, more surface area and does not melt the center of the trays.

Upon reading several reviews, I decided to purchase this model. Well, I think I didn’t make a wrong choice. I didn’t experience the noise issue imposed by several reviews. I don’t know why they had that issue, maybe because of how they put the foods? I’m not sure. Anyways, this dehydrator works great as it dries foods quickly. It’s also easy to clean. I would buy more trays for sure once growing season comes in.
